Khartsyzsk Tube Works, which is the part of Metinvest Group, has received the Certificate of compliance of enterprise Quality Management System to the requirements of GOST R ISO 9001-2001. The Certificate is acting up to 2011. Its presence gives the Works the opportunity to participate in pipes supplies to the company "Transneft" for the second line of VSTO project, and also for other pipeline projects in the Russian Federation.

This certificate was given by the Russian Centre of certification of Autonomous noncommercial organization "The National Institute of standardization, expertise and certification of transport" (ANO "NISECT"). Besides, ANO "NISECT" gave the permission to Khartsyzsk Tube Works to use the compliance Sign of voluntary certification System "Transsert".

For the first line of VSTO project Khartsyzsk Tube Works supplied near 330 thousand tons of pipes. During the work under this project we mastered three new standard sizes of pipes which are 1220 mm in diameter with wall thickness 23,2; 27 and 29 mm from steel, class of strength K60. Thus KhTW proved again its reputation of the reliable supplier which is able to satisfy any technical requirements of the customer. Simultaneously we were working under the certification of our production and Management System. The result of this work was the receiving of present certificate at the Russian voluntary certification System "Transsert" and permission for using the compliance Sign. It will give us the opportunity to participate at the second line of VSTO project, and other pipeline projects in Russia. "Following the long-term strategy of Metinvest Group we are planning to pass the certification according to new standards of PJSC "Gazprom" of 9001 series and DNVOS-F101 standard for participation at pipeline project "Nord Stream", - Acting Director General of KhTW Aleksey Borovykov has commented.

Partnership between KhTW and "NISECT" has begun in 2005. In July 2006 after long-term and laborious audit of Work's Management System ANO "NISETC" gave the Certificate of the highest third level to Khartsyzsk Tube Works. The presence of this Certificate allowed to take part in all tenders, which were held by PJSC "Joint Stock company for oil transport "Transneft" (Russia), including the tenders of the project for building the oil pipeline "East Siberian - Pacific Ocean" (VSTO).
